Ben Edmonds
Owner & founder of Inventor Club
Ben is the innovation genius behind inventor club with other 20 years experience in product design and inventing.
An innovative environment both online and in person where everyone learns from everyone. Every term we tackle a different challenge based upon a theme.
Well planned and thought-provoking packs which challenge all young inventors, no matter the age.
Fully resourced schemes of work, linked directly to National Curriculum aims.
Inventor club is all about solving “The Problem” whatever that problem might be. It could be as simple as moving boxes up a step or solving the worlds energy crisis. Either way, because the world doesn’t come with instructions, we want to encourage parents, teachers and children to think creatively and have a license to fail.
Our mission is to create as many innovators & inventors as possible and that all starts with good quality STEM activities and innovative D&T lessons, where it is OK to experiment. Where the prototypes and the journey is just as important as the outcomes. Where every student creates their own solution and not just the same product.
We understand that teachers and home educators are extremely time poor and that’s where we come in. We can provide schools with high quality and well thought out challenges that allow for creativity and solution first thinking.
We will be updating this new website more and more over the coming months with all of our challenges, resources and newly created schemes of work as they are created. So make sure to keep checking back here and on all of our social pages for updates as they go live.

Working for an innovative business such as Dyson means team building exercises need to match. That can be a challenge however the workshop that Ben designed and ran fitted the bill perfectly. Incredibly inclusive, engaging and even those who thought they didn’t have an engineering bone in their bodies became instant innovation obsessives.
This afternoon was one of the best INSET sessions I can remember. Ben Edmonds inspired the staff team to innovate, create and collaborate!
There were many words of wisdom to take from it and copious amounts of uncontrollable laughter!
Your workshop was one of the highlights for the students.
In our post event survey, over 90% of the students who attended your workshop said they would like to do something like it again. An amazing 63% said that your workshop made them think more about a career in engineering.
